All About Alyson
Alyson Renae Michalka born March 25, 1989 in Torrance, California. Her mother, Carrie, is a musician and performed with JC Band, a Christian band.
Aly has been playing the piano since she was five and started playing the guitar at the age of thirteen. She started acting when she was five years old, mostly in church play productions. She was raised a Christian and is quite firm in her faith.
Aly's acting debut came when she was cast in the role of Keely Teslow on the Disney Channel Original Series, Phil of the Future. She has also starred in the Disney Channel Original Movies Now You See It..., in which she plays Allyson Miller, an ambitious television producer, and Cow Belles, in which she appears opposite her sister AJ. She also landed a leading role in the film Bandslam co-staring Vanessa Hudgens.
Aly and her sister have released a total of three albums (including one Christmas album): Into the Rush (2005), Acoustic Hearts of Winter (2006), and Insomniatic (2007). A new album is expected to be released in the early 2010 under their new band name, 78violet.
